About

Droplr is a service for uploading, hosting & sharing stuff. What stuff? Any stuff. You can share images, notes, links and just about any type of file you'd use on your computer. Droplr consists of a desktop application for Mac OS X and the web application for managing your stuff.

Custom Domain

One great feature of Droplr is the ability to use a custom domain name for the short URLs that it generates. This gives you the ability to make Droplr feel a bit more of your own. However, this can be a bit complicated to set up so we only recommend it for people who are comfortable with this sort of thing. We regret at this time that we can provide no personal support in setting up your own domain.

To set up a custom domain, you'll first need to buy a domain from a registrar like NameCheap. This usually costs $10-$40 per year. Then you'll need to follow the registrar's instructions to point the domain's A-record (IP address) to 67.222.99.239

Please note that you need to change your domain's or sub-domain's A Record, not its nameservers. And, you don't need to forward your domain, you only need to change its A Record.

Once you've done this, you may need to wait up to 72 hours for the change to take effect. If the domain is set up properly, you should be able to click on any of your links and have them resolve correctly.
